The Greenwood Method is the complete ideology for the various program's curriculum. It has been designed to cover the primary technical, tactical, physiological and psychological components that are required to become a high-level soccer player. The Clint Greenwood Soccer Academy stands behind their method 100%, and find it very valuable in their overall approach to every topic, that they are teaching and repeated by their staff of quality coaches that have passion towards teaching the beautiful game  with every member of the student body, at every camp, clinic, private lesson, specialty camp, or video analysis.  Coach Greenwood created a dynamic system for coaches to be able to use a large variety of different exercises that break down each technical and tactical detail that is being taught in each session. The Greenwood Method started off as the style of teaching of the Academy, but with many years of transformation, it became a very unique training style that acts as a very important Soccer teaching tool for CGSA full-time, and part-time coaches when they are carrying out a lesson plan for one of the CGSA many different programs.

"Total Footballing Development"

Director, Greenwood has continued his passionate belief on continuing his pursuit of advancing his philosophy of his belief that Total Football is Best. He first heard of a complete team’s tactical approach when he was just 12 years old, and the former Dutch professional coach Rinus Michels wrote a book on his tactical belief of Total Football, and its effect on World Soccer. Total Football's tactical success depends largely on the adaptability of each footballer within the team, in particular the ability to quickly switch positions depending on the on-field situation. The theory requires players to be comfortable in multiple positions; hence, it places high technical and physical demands on them. This is where Clint's passion for individual skill importance, and attacking with numerical advantage + dribbling to break down defenses began to take light. The Greenwood Method is created to utilize the many different techniques that manipulates the ball in such a way to unbalance the opponents defense, and with a total team approach with all players with the same skills can overtake any organized defense. During the 70's when Rinus introduced this style, the main purpose was to use it to win games but to make sure that the brilliance of their great player like Johan Cruyff who was listed as a center forward, but with Total Football approach, he was more like a quarter back in American football, pulling the strings like a puppet master. The likes of Maradona, Ronaldino, Michel Platini, Pele, Zico, and Zinedine Zidane all were awarded with the change in Football tactics.
