A Word From Our Director

A Word From The Director...

"I have been blessed with abundant favor. I played Soccer, because I was talented at it, but more importantly I loved it. When I became a soccer player that made a difference is the same time I became a responsible child of God. I took what was given to me and without being scared of failure used it to frame my entire being. I have been a professional coach for 25 years, and I do it because I love it.

"Coaching / training to me is an extension of your personality. I believe after personal experience, and knowledge I attained, that coaching is not who I am, but more "WHAT I DO."   The most important component of coaching is developing relationships that are built on trust, loyalty, belief, and most important love.  Without authentic education, you can't understand the fine, detailed information, and technical skills needed to play at a highest level. So because of my vast experience playing professional Soccer in 4 different countries, and having the luxury to have been coached by the likes of; Harry Redknapp (Bournemouth AFC), Terry Yorath, (Swansea City & Cardiff City), Osvaldo Ardiles, (Swindon Town), Ian Bowyer, (Hereford United), and Ron Newman, San Diego Sockers). I created a Soccer School for serious young athletes to be introduced to the Beautiful Game, and where we at CGSA educate the students on what it takes to be Great, and help them get there."

"So I  was blessed enough to play for well known managers such as; Terry Yorath at Swansea, Alan Durban at Cardiff City, Harry Redknapp at Bournemouth, Ossie Ardiles at Swindon Town, Ian Bowyer at Hereford, Rildo Menezes at Valley Eagles, and Ron Newman at San Diego Sockers. All of them had one thing in common. They had PASSION."

Yours In Soccer,

Clint Greenwood
